The Eagles are definately one of my favorite bands. "Desperado" is probably my favorite song.. The Eagles sing about real shit, real life, and relatable stuff. Although most of their songs are about drug addiction, almost all of them can be interpretaded to fit your own lifestyle.

My Eagles Top Five:
1. Desperado
2. Hotel California
3. Life in the Fast Lane
4. Take it Easy
5. The Long Run

Lyin Eyes is a good too. Tequilla Sunrise is a bar song though.... Wink

You can't argue with the #1 selling album of all time!

Best Beatles song, in my opinion, is "A Day in the Life," it's a phenomenal work of art from the Sgt. Pepper Album, closest thing to genius since Beethoven. Another is the 3 track of "Golden Slumbers, Carry that Weight, The End" from the "Abbey Road" album. "Rocky Raccoon" is another one of my favorites. All of their songs are just fucking incredible, picking favorites is almost an insult to them.

The Beatles were fucking awesome, especially once they started dropping acid. I always wonder what kind of great songs they would have made if they would have stayed together and if John Lennon was still alive. Paul had some ok shit with "Wings" but he has slowly become so lame over the years that no one notices. Lennon was getting way too political before he died, but who knows what kind of insane shit he would have written if he wouldn't have been killed.

It seems that almost every musical prodigy dies too soon... Mozart, Valens, Hendrix, Bonham, Moon, Lennon, Cobain... Maybe it's just the fact that we idolize the ones that die early and praise their names for what they did right... Mozart was a wife beating, neurotic, alcoholic and Lennon was a drug abusing, neglectful father but for some reason we place them both on a pedistool and praise and worship them as gods.

Take Bob Dylan for example, most certainly the most influential singer/songwriter of the 20th century, he has continued to write and sing songs after his prime. A true genus, but he would probably be even more famous if he would have died in his prime and Jimi Hendrix may have faded into obscurity if he would have lived to be alive today.

Bored, drunk rant, sorry! Wink

Same here lol. I bought Static-X - Wisconsin Death Trip, System Of A Down (Uggghhhh), Slipknot (Still love em') and Mudvayne LD50 all at the same time when they cmae out. Not a bad listen now and then (except S.O.A.D. Fuck them and the horse they rode in on) but I've since moved onto to such bands like Job for a Cowboy, Between the Burried and Me, Norma Jean, of course Strapping Young Lad (Fuck yeah!), Everytime I Die, All Shall Perish (check them out if you haven't already), etc. The list could go on forever.

I saw a TOOL poster at Newbury Comics today and shit my pants. All the rest were Bob Marley and Kurt Cobain. I mean come on, I guess Trent has to die before they start putting out ridiculous amounts of posters.

I geuss i will Boaw out of this Battle because i would find myself sticking up for nickelback and i do not like them that much to do that. As far as the bands loser and Becka have listed. I like them aswell I think i like a little more broad range of bands than you guys, Which is cool to each this own different stroks for different folks!!!!. So in short i am not going to battle on this!! now if you Start dogging on Tool, Korn, Mudvayne, slipknot or acid bath i am going to start fighting.
