Nice list Euro , the only thing I am boycotting right now is creative , they are suing a guy for writing drivers for his sound card so it could work with Vista and sharing them on the net . I think it's BS for them to do that. I have a Audigy 2 card which has worked fine. But I will look for a different card next time I buy. Maybe Turtle beach , don't know much about them. Any body have one?

Move this to the hardware forum so everyone can see it.

Topic moved.

I have one BIG issue with your list. Rather than recommending hardware, your recommending manufacturers which reads like an ad rather than a helpful list of parts. If you're looking to help folks choose hardware, ya need to toss some model numbers on there. For example:

CPU: Intel E8400
Video: eVga 8800GT

otherwise you're just plugging brand names which in my view mean little in PC parts if ya don't know what to buy.

Just a thought, do with it what ya will. Wink

here are a few tom's hardware articles that should help:

$500 PC (lol cheap) -
part 1: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-graphic-game,1810.html
part 2: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-graphic-game,1907.html

Top graphics cards for the money for April (May edition should be out soon though) - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-cards,1805.html

tom's hardware also just had a system build marathon that might have some good pointers for anyone looking to build soon.
