Hey guys. Love the T3 community. I have great conections to your servers and love to play. Anyways, some of you may remember me from the servers. I talked to Fragbox, i think, about getting you guys to test my custom map. Ive been working on it for a week (busy) and I'm almost to the point where I start taking some screen shots. By the end of this week or begining of next week Ill have some solid SS's for you. Basically the map is some what like an episode from Band of Brothers. I the 2-4 episodes there is a part were the Airbourne attack german flak possitions in a field. This field has a small network of trenches that conect 3 flak fortifications (made with a trench and sandbags.) This might not how it looked exactly in the movie, but this is the layout for the map. What to look forward to... very few buildings, and if I do have any they will b small and only in spawns. A fairly large trench system, but I wont over do it. Lot's of obsticles to hide around. Pretty small map, but a wide range of paths to get to the flags. There will be 5 flags btw, 3 on the Flak cannons and 2 near each spawn. I'm gonna look for wide open areas especially with the help of the 3D sky box. Anyways, coments are welcome, pics soonish.

There is a map modeled after that for CoD, I forget what it was called. Brecor or something like that maybe?

Here is the overview from hammer... as you can see im not done with the layout yet. I won't be sending you any test versions atleast for a few days. This is the general layout, and as you can see the map is very blanced. Both sides have similar paths (geometry-wise), but will look different to the player. I made paths based on the different weapons. One path is best for sniper/mg, another is good for assault/support, and the middle path is good for all. Anyways, should be interstng, I'll post pics once I get a solid version running.

RED LINES = Trench
YELLOW LINES = Large Hills and areas of the map that the player can not get to.

I would be eager to try the map out, it looks pretty neat.

BTW that pic may be just a tad oversized, as it is stretching the forum to infinity and beyond!

best thing for larger pics are to just create a thumbnail for it, that way you'll have the size/definition w/out stretching the forum.

You need to resize that image to less than 700x700 and repost it.

Here is the map so far... To save time, I'm using an altered version of the dod_flash 3D Sky box. Also, I just noticed, after testing the map on a LAN, that the HUD pics (can't see in these screens) and the flak cannon models are from a custom map, maybe anvil. I just wanna give credit where it is needed. Anyways, while playing on a LAN, 4 on 4, the map was very fun. I think snipers and MG's will dominate this map, but with server limits, players will find other ways to "out smart" them. Smoke nades work very well, especially with all the trenches. Well, here are some pics, enjoy Smile I will release version 1 for play testing in the next 2 days. I'm going to continue testing on the LAN for now.
