This is a sad day indeed. Favre was amazing. He's been the Packer's QB my entire life. I hope the Pack can hold it together (at least to some extent) next season. And if they can't, then that'll just be an extension of his legacy.
I'm glad to see him go out on the right foot. I really thought he was going to throw in the towel last year and THAT would've sucked. At least he came back this year and showed that he wasn't the reason that team did so horribly last season. The guy's accomplished pretty much everything he could ever hope to accomplish in the game. I think it's a great thing he's leaving though I will miss watching him play. He's one of the few that actually plays with a love of the game.
Yep, it's sad to see him walk away, but like Geek said, I'm glad he chose to retire after proving that he still had it in him last season. The man is a football legend, no doubt about that.
