Problems with O/S and Slip Streaming ?Posted:

UGH so this chick was sending me "pictures" on MSN for the last few days and her PC died or whatever and was on her sisters and she had a virus witch sent itself out automatically to everyone on MSN and of course I downloaded it and opened it so fast (shes way hot) and got a virus. I tried repairing it but with having OCD I just knew it wouldn't be the same so I reinstalled Vista X64 and I am having more problems so I am going back to X32. Anyone using X64 ever have the problem where if your monitor goes into standby (shuts off) it wont come back up after you move the mouse? My power button on the monitor will just blink and I am forced to reboot. Also, after that EVERYTIME it goes into Windows it does this so I have to go into safe mode, then restart, and it will work.
Another question... When I was using XP years ago I had slip streamed my software I use so I could install XP and have all my programs already installed. Does anyone know about slip streaming with Vista and programs? Well I am going to install Vista 32 so I will be on later.
usually that problem is caused by vista going into hybernation witch i found the easiest way to bring it out was to just push you towers power button once
Vista rocks if you have the hardware to handle it. The problem was either when Vista went into power save and turned the monitor off and or when rebooting once it hit Vista it would turn the monitor off and the power button would blink but O/S would load. I think I figured out that it was something to do with SP1 and the Vista Loader witch is a "crack" that tricks Vista into thinking you have a OEM bios so Windows is activated. I decided to go legit and install my copy of Vista HP 32 (witch is a upgrade) but I figured out you can install XP on one HD then do a fresh install of Vista on another HD with the upgrade dvd. Also you can order 64-bit vista for $10 if you already purchased 32-bit version. Everything is working great now except I don't have dream scene or bit locker.
the only slip streaming i've done was with xp... and i used some program to help set it all up... just google for vista slipstream and i'm sure something will come up.
