AKA American DVD's can only be played in America, European DVD's can only be played in Europe etc. They accomplish this by hardcoding or wiring this into the DVD players. So you'd think for PC drives it would be different... right? Nope... not different at all. So yeah anyway, the point of this thread is if anybody has any ideas how to fix this for my MacBook Pro. The firmware has it set up so you can change the region, but only a limited number of times. I'm reluctant to do this, but at this point I don't see why not because I'm going to be here for another 5 months and I don't have any American DVD's with me. So I guess my question is, is anybody familiar enough with Mac OS X (Feedback?) to tell me why it wouldn't run?
