With SSD out for awhile and more then likely will replace regular HDD within the next few years SSD drives are now dropping in price. Here is a 128 GIG OCZ SSD for $439.00

Nice to see they are finally dropping , but still pretty salty for my taste. I would buy those new new raptor drives If I had the money. BTW what is the seek time on those SSD drives?

Core series SSD drives are available in capacities of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB and deliver up to an incredible 143 MB/s and 93 MB/s read/write speeds and seek times of less than 0.35ms, making the Core series up to 10x as fast on a seek-time basis and up to 40% faster on a R/W basis that the best performing 2.5” HDDs on the market, all while consuming 50% less power.

Smokin drives but still nowhere near affordable for me. Won't be too much longer though. Every month they're announcing new improved lower priced models.

They are really big in Laptops right now but are slowly getting into the desktop. I would like to get two in Raid 0 or 1 but the only problem is space. 128gigs isn't that much considering I just reinstalled Vista and I am using 200 gigs already. I read that OCZ will be releasing a 256gig model for about the same price in the next few months.
