Post need help please Posted: Tue Dec 30, 2008 9:18 am

i posted this at fragdods, so i figured i would post here as well.

i just built a system for my girlfriend with my old 939 parts. i installed dods so if i'm over her house on match nights, i can still play. the problem i'm having is that i cant read the cfg. files like with my current rig. is this beacause i'm running windows xp ? i run vista 64 ultimate on my main rig. is there a certain program i need to install in order to open my cfg files ? any help would be cool. also, if anyone knows of any single core tweaks, that would be cool too. thanks.

the build is very basic
AMD 64 4000 @ 2.4 (single core) (cant be overclocked because of shitty mobo)
2 Gigs Gskill DDR 400
320 gig western digital HD
8600 gts 256mb DDR3 (45 bucks on ebay with free shipping. lol )
Windows Xp Pro

You just need to right click your .cfg files and tell them to open in Wordpad. You can do that in Vista or XP.
